Phillips Brewing & Malting Co. to produce beer for Vancouver Island Brewing
VIB’s lease expiry at present site prompts production co-pack arrangement
VICTORIA, B.C. (August 28, 2024) - Phillips Brewing & Malting Co. has been selected to produce craft beer for Vancouver Island Brewing (VIB) as co-packer in Victoria, BC, effective November 1st, 2024, as VIB look to change the set-up of their operations.
Faced with cost pressures at its current Victoria location, VIB is making a change to outsource its production and packaging. There is no change in the ownership structure of either VIB or Phillips. They will each continue to manage their respective consumer, customer and community relationships through their dedicated sales, marketing and management teams.
After 40 years of serving the craft beer community, it was important for VIB to find a craft brewery whose operations also have deep, local roots in Victoria and is committed to quality excellence.
