Cold snap picks up world’s best kolsch at the world beer awards

The results are in for the 2022 World Beer Awards, and we are beyond excited to announce that Cold Snap Kolsch has won World’s Best Kolsch! We could not be more proud.

The World Beer Awards is globally recognized and receives submissions from around the world, and we are thrilled to be one of only eight Canadian breweries represented in the World’s Best categories. The WBA’s describes Cold Snap as “bright gold with a soft, grainy aroma. The body is quite light, and is softly malty, but within the constraints of the style. The finish is dry and quenching. Light gold and clear. Just the lightest hint of hops on the aroma. Light-medium body, with some creaminess.”

Cold Snap is one of our brand new 2022 releases, so we are immensely pleased to receive world recognition in its first year of inception. If you haven’t yet tried it, this Kolsch is our rendition of the classic German style. Sessionable and simple, Cold Snap is an uncomplicated beer that needs nothing to hide behind.
