Cost Accountant, Victoria

As we continue explore the ever expanding galaxy of craft beer, we are looking for a full-time cost accountant to help us keep our beer-fueled dreams on course.  This person will understand costs, variances, and how they impact financial results.  They will also support month end closing and reporting processes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Management of standard costs in bill of materials
  • Collaboration with Material Resource Planning to optimize COGS–including freight and distribution
  • Validation, analysis and reconciliation of costs of sales for month end reporting
  • Management of physical inventory
  • Maintenance of effective internal control documentation for production and inventory
  • Reporting on production and inventory variances
  • Ensure timely submission and accuracy of inventory reconciliations
  • Analysis of cost of sales across all product lines
  • Support system improvement through ERP process development
  • Assist in improvement of financial reporting and analysis to streamline data
  • Internal and external reporting
  • Special projects as required

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree
  • Accounting designation or actively pursuing
  • 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing/cost accounting
  • Experience in SAP/ERP environment is an asset
  • A love of finely crafted beer

Production Position, Victoria

WE’RE HIRING! We’re on the lookout for a FULL-TIME person to help in the packaging of finely crafted beer here in VICTORIA. This person has a heart of gold but boots of steel, is hard-working and fun to be around. They are also legally able to drive a car and may or may not have some forklift experience. We’re willing to train the right person, but you must be a craft-beer enjoyer to join the team of this employer, so fire us a cover letter and resume telling us what gets your beer gears cranking. Night Shift Production, Victoria

Our night-vision goggles are activated, and we’re searching the Victoria area for a full-time craft beer lover and night shift production person. This person is mechanically adept, understanding that nuts and bolts are more than just a snack, and they can handle a full keg of beer as if it were half a pint. Forklift experience is an asset but not required, though a sincere passion for craft beer and a positive attitude is a must.
