Accounts Payable (Full-Time, 18-20 Month Maternity Leave Contract)

We are on the hunt for a friendly craft beer lover to join our Finance Team in Accounts Payable. This is a Full-Time, 18–20-month maternity leave contract position located at our office in Victoria, BC beginning mid-January 2022. Key Responsibilities

  • Process & manage accounts payable in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Verify and determine correct coding for accuracy and completeness
  • Match purchase orders (and GRPOs) with invoices as they are received
  • Review vendor statements ensuring all invoices & credits have been received and processed in ERP
  • Monitor AP Aging & prepare weekly payments, ensuring no past due accounts
  • Maintain vendor records in accounting system
  • Reconcile corporate credit card usage and processes month end bank and visa reconciliations
  • Daily bank reconciliation including necessary funds transfers and visa payments
  • Daily retail & tasting room reconciliations
  • Weekly bank deposits for retail cash and AR cheques
  • Provincial reporting and reconciliation of sales orders and credits
  • Budget to actual reconciliations and populate other monthly and quarterly tracking spreadsheets
  • Manage petty cash
  • Complete credit applications
  • Other duties as assigned

Required/Preferred Skills

  • 2 years related experience in a fast-paced, high-volume, environment and strong working knowledge of accounts payable
  • Degree or Diploma in Business/Accounting/Finance preferred
  • Accounting experience an asset
  • Intermediate skills in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience in SAP B1 an asset

Territory Manager (North Edmonton)

Our Alberta Sales Team is looking for a craft beer lover to help spread the news of Phillips brews in Edmonton and the surrounding area! You will be responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with existing accounts while prospecting for new business within the retail and on-premise channels in North Edmonton, Alberta, as well as rural territories in St Albert, Spruce Grove, Stoney Plain and Red Deer. Driving growth (volume and distribution) and enhancing Phillips brand awareness and positioning with target consumers through the retail and on-premise channels is critical. Your sales experience along with your knowledge and passion for craft beer/ spirits will enable you to create and foster deep relationships with your peers, influencers, and trade partners in your territory. Your work ethic is unmatched, and you embody our culture through your good-natured approachability and playfulness. You can travel extensively, and work nights and weekends as required.

Marketing & Events Coordinator (West)

Our Brand and Consumer Marketing Department is searching for a creative, community-minded, craft beer obsessed Marketing and Events Coordinator! You will be our go-to team member for wrangling all events out here in Western Canada, as well as managing our websites, helping us strengthen our online community of thirsty beer lovers through social media, and capturing life around the brewery through your eye-catching and scroll-stopping photography and videography skills. Finally, you will have an eye for sourcing great merch, making you a “master sorcerer” of our merchandise.

You will be a deeply embedded member of the local craft beer, events, and arts community.

This is a permanent role based in Victoria, BC with a rotating schedule: Part-Time hours in the winter months, Full-Time hours in the summer months. This role requires flexibility to travel as well as the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Required Skills/Experience
• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in Marketing or a related field is preferred
• Experience in CPG, beverage, or alcohol
