April 6th, 2020 –In an effort to assist as many frontline community partners, we’ve putting our 3D printer to work producing parts for face shields. We are then handing the parts off to a group of local businesses and the UVIC Engineering Dept. who are cutting the plastic and assembling the shields in a fully sanitized setting. Once assembled the face shields are given to local health partners the Vancouver Island Health Authority for distribution to front line health care workers.

If you have a 3D printer you think you can enlist in the cause please get in touch with us at: info@phillipsbeer.com & we can get you set up with the prototype & help field any further questions you may have. We will also be consolidating these pieces here at the brewery for those who have already been printing components at home and arranging drop offs to our local engineering partners. If you’d like to drop of your pieces in a dated and sealed ziplock bag, you can do so at our Beer Shop everyday between noon and 7pm. Please note that in order to maintain social distancing we are limiting the store to 8 people a time for everyone’s safety. If you’d like to stay in your vehicle we can also arrange for a staff member to pickup parts from parking lot by calling us at 250 380 1912 x 2.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out so far and asked how they can help with this effort. #wereallinthistogether
