With his tasty oatmeal stout, Garry Giesbrecht was the clear winner in the recent Showcase Showdown homebrew competition hosted by CAMRA BC and Phillips Brewing Company. Last week, Giesbrecht joined our head brewer Damon Bell and Matt Phillips to make a larger batch of his prize-winning oatmeal stout. The stout will be the next featured beer in the Phillips Showcase, which will be hitting shelves some time in the next month.

The Blue Buck was up and at 'em early on Saturday, mingling with the hosts of NBC's Today Show. The Buck was featured as part of NBC's Olympics coverage in a segment featuring an array of BC beers, all of which happen to be from Victoria. Check out the story below.
